Much like the rainbow flag or the handkerchief system, certain flowers have been used to identify an LGBT+ community, or conversely, secretly signal an LGBT+ identity. Some of the most well-known events in LGBT+ history reference flowers, from the Lavender Menace protest and the Lavender Scare persecutions to Oscar Wilde’s green carnations.
I've been gay for like 3 years now and recently started wondering if there's any "secret" gay/lgbtq sign (as in a Hand sign for example) that can be used to tell someone that you're part of lgbtq. Here’s a picture I took years ago also known as the “Gay Batman Signal”. It’s been passed around the internet for years so I thought I’d post it up here. This is not Photoshopped!
