True fact: original Schmidt’s Gay sketch used a Van Halen Song. NBC has retroactively replaced that music with some generic nonsense due to licensing issues. Here it is with the original music, original audience reaction: Skit really does hit different with the original music. But just to add a little historical perspective, it wasn’t the best beer commercial parody the show has ever done.

Schmitt's Gay Beer is a Saturday Night Live skit from the year , starring Adam Sandler and Chris Farley, and parodying beer commercials of the time.
In the skit's commercial, the two men are house sitting, which the Farley character thinks will be boring.

The visual style of the Schmitts label mimics a Budweiser label — 3 but the name mimics the name of Schlitz Beer. The beer name is apostropheless, but is often cited with an apostrophe.
