While there were some more basic ideas I already knew about, this book was genuinely helpful for me, as it is for so many young queer people. Honestly, just reading this book makes me happy. And everywhere, the constant discourse and confusion and stereotyping is exhausting to keep up with. Contrastingly, Dawson brings light to issues in a supportive, interesting way without emphasizing hatred towards anyone else.
